HEIRLOOM RESTORATION
Preserve the story. Restore the structure.
We repair and stabilize meaningful furniture without erasing the age, wear, and character that make the piece worth preserving.
Some furniture is worth more than replacing. Not because of what it costs, but because of where it came from.
Our default is restraint. We stabilize what is failing and repair what is broken, and we leave the patina, the wear marks, and the evidence of a hundred years of use alone unless you ask otherwise. Refinishing a piece back to new usually removes the exact thing that made it worth keeping.
What we do
We are furniture makers, not accredited conservators. For museum-grade or historically significant pieces we will tell you plainly when a trained conservator is the right call instead of us.
HARDWARE
Hardware is usually what fails first.
Pulls, hinges and slides take every bit of the wear. On restoration work the question is always whether the original hardware can be brought back, replaced in kind, or has to be replicated.
We tell you which of the three you are looking at before any work starts.
From idea to installed piece.
-
01
Show us what you're working with.
Photos, plans, drawings, inspiration or simply the problem.
-
02
Work through the details.
We figure out dimensions, materials, functionality, schedule and pricing.
-
03
We build it.
The piece is fabricated for the project.
-
04
Put it in place.
We coordinate delivery and installation when required.
Tell us about the piece.
Photos help more than anything. Send what you have and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth restoring.
Can't find what the room needs?
That's probably the right place to start. Send us the space, the problem or the idea. We'll take a look and tell you whether it's something we can help build.
